Binary Voids

A flat screen on the wall that makes you forget
that there is a wall and a world behind it.
An electronic surface as a window into another world,
fed by abstract, binary data streams.

I very often take photographs in which people’s faces are hidden or obscured, or in which they have their backs turned to our world – the viewer’s world. Since photography always reveals something about the photographer, I wonder why this kind of image keeps cropping up.
